The IRISS project hosted two specialist panels at the Computers, Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP) 6th International Conference held in Brussels from the 23-25th January 2013.

The first panel, hosted by Antonella Galetta (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and Gary T. Marx (MIT), was focused on Surveillance and Criminal Law and included the following panel speakers:

Rachel Robinson, Liberty (UK), Ulrich Seldeslachts, LSEC (BE), John Vervaele, University of Utrecht (NL) and Didier Wallaert, DLA Piper (BE)

The second panel, hosted by IRISS co-ordinator Reinhard Kreissl (IRKS) and Chiara Fonio (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore), focused on Surveillance, Democracy and the State. Panel speakers included:

Roger Clarke, Xamax Consultancy Ltd (AUS), Ben Hayes, Statewatch (UK) and Rowena Rodrigues, Trilateral Research and Consulting (UK)
